Thank you for inspiring this post and sharing your story. I’m HoH and wear hearing aids so I understand some of the trouble it takes to communicate, or for me, I try hard to understand what someone is saying and look at them with a blank look. My adversity is mental illness that sometimes keeps me from writing. But I’ve learned some coping skills that help keep me going.

Thank you for sharing this, Barb. When your living situation is different from the mainstream, for whatever reason, I think you have to take some things one day at a time as you navigate the world. Then again, as I said above, your challenges teach you coping skills that you can apply anywhere in life. Even in pursuing your dreams. I also believe that many if not most of us are challenged in some way, whether that be emotional, physical or situational. It's called life.
