A newsletter on creativity and inspiration for writers from bestselling author Connie Briscoe.
One of the toughest and biggest obstacles holding all too many writers back--both established and new, me included–-is that persistent, nagging voice in our heads talking negative nonsense. Telling us to stop writing, ‘cause we don’t know what the heck we’re doing. That no one will ever read what we write. Or if they do, they’ll label it drivel.
I’m here to help you get that voice to quiet down. To help you replace the negative chatter with inspirational, uplifting thoughts. Positive, goal-oriented vibes.
It won’t always be easy but it CAN be done.
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox if you subscribe.
I’ve been a full-time published author for more than twenty-five years. Over that time, I have written 11 books, including YOU NEVER KNOW (HarperCollins, Amistad, March 14, 2023), my first domestic suspense novel. My work has been published globally, hitting the bestseller lists of the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, and Baltimore Sun among many other publications.
I was born with a mild hearing impairment but I have never let that hold me back. After progressively losing more of my hearing in my twenties and thirties, I had a cochlear implant and it restored much of what I had lost. I firmly believe that the challenges of dealing with a hearing loss have helped make me stronger, more resilient, and more determined to reach my goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting jewelry, and traveling.
